In our modern culture, there has been an explosion of interest in spirituality and the quest for the authentic self. My artwork is a sensitive, intimate, and evocative reflection of our ongoing human journey towards spiritual and emotional evolution. In my artwork, I explore the essence of the human being and the mystery of life itself at its core;  my artwork is a symbol of the transcendent human spirit. Each canvas invokes the viewer to enter a contemplative, magical  world created within the canvases' walls where the meditative, playful energy created through paint and color uplifts and soothes the viewer.   Through versatile, energetic marks created by a full range of traditional and non-traditional materials, each artwork serves as a welcoming invitation into the profound, intimate relationship with one's Divine authentic self.

I am most excited and inspired by expressing myself freely and passionately through a versatile, full range of artistic materials. In my "Journey" series, I create  intimate windows into the vast human inner-world through a multi-layered approach beginning with soft layers of ink, watercolors and acrylic paint. Organic shapes and layers of charcoal, graphite, wax, and pastel are then weaved into the canvas, thus portraying the natural and intricate depth of each living being. Ultimately, brilliantly colored oil paint completes the canvas's surface.

I am especially interested in the illumination, vibrancy, and energy of color, and I am excited by each unique brushstroke and gesture that is used to convey a particular mood, emotion, or feeling. . Through my artwork, the viewer is handed unique windows to enter into their own expansive, meditative, and nurturing visual space. The viewer is invited into quiet contemplation through the sincere visual language of my artwork.

The presence of the "Divine", the mysterious life force that lives within all living beings, flows like a river through each of my artworks and offers an opportunity for dialogue with one's "true self". While moving through the process of expressing thoughts, feelings, emotions, ideas and perceptions, my artwork creates a language of the true essence and spirit that exists within us all. My artwork speaks of the beautiful, flowing dance of optimism and life's journey of possibilities, and in each painting, the viewer is invited to explore his or her own unique experience of spirited connection,  unrestrained freedom,  joy,  inner-peace, and communion with truth.
