In our modern culture, there has been an explosion of interest in spirituality and the quest for the authentic self. My artwork is a sensitive, intimate, and evocative reflection of this ongoing human journey towards spiritual and emotional evolution. As my contemporary abstract paintings, drawings, and multi-media installations respond to the ever-changing deepening relationship with one's own human potential and one's role in the world, my artwork becomes a symbol of the human spirit. The visual journey of the human condition are taken to new extremes as each canvas invokes the viewer to enter a contemplative, magical, empowering, and mysterious world created within the canvases' walls. The poignancy of the human experience, including the individual and collective joys, meanings, truths, questions, complexities, spiritual depths, emotions, and explorations are shared honestly within each artwork. I share the artistic voice of what connects all living beings, beyond and regardless of geographical, religious, cultural or historical ties. Through versatile, energetic marks created by a full range of traditional and non-traditional materials, each artwork serves as a welcoming invitation into the profound relationship with one's Divine authentic self.

The adaptability of the materials I use is always aligned with the subject matter presented in each artwork. In addition to oil and acrylic paints, ink, graphite, wax, and charcoal, I collect sand from deserts around the world, stones from the earth, rocks and wood from Central Park, wire, photographs, written journal entries, egg shells, medicine bottles, string, and glass to most accurately communicate the vastness of the ideas being explored in my work. Every gesture and brushstroke is carefully considered and paired with the artistic medium, color, texture and mood that best conveys the voice that is longing to be both shared and received.

I am especially interested in the illumination, vibrancy, and energy of color, and I am excited by each unique brushstroke or gesture that is used to convey a particular mood, emotion, or feeling. The expansiveness created in my artwork is present in the 12" x 12" intimately sized canvases and the boldly sized 96" x 102" panels. Through my artwork, the viewer is handed unique windows to enter into their own meditative, nurturing visual space. The viewer is encouraged to enhance the unique relationship within their own life, heard clearly through quiet contemplation with the sincere visual language of my artwork.

The presence of the Divine appears in my artwork and offers an opportunity for dialogue with the "bigness", or larger life force, that is present in every living being. While moving through the process of expressing thoughts, feelings, emotions, truths and perceptions, my artwork creates a language of the soul which explores the human essence of inner-depth, truth, and spirit underneath the illusions of time and space. With every stroke of paint on the canvas, I feel a rush of freedom, power and joy; this experience is nothing less than Divine. The ongoing journeys of life continue to deepen my own personal experience both as a human being and as an artist, thus continuously inspiring me to launch stimulating artwork reflective of my artistic expression and my unique relationship to life through visual articulation. Art has the ability to positively shift the world, both from the micro-personal level to the macro-universal level. My work speaks of this precise possibility of endless depth, and the human desire for spirited connection, unrestrained freedom, empowerment, beauty, joy, realized potential, inner-peace, and communion with truth.
